Principe Corsini for Divino Tuscany

Divino Tuscany is a celebration of Tuscan winemaking excellence. The inaugural event to be held in Florence, Italy June 2 – 5, 2011 will bring together the top winemakers from Tuscany who will promote, share and demystify their top rated wines.

James Suckling, former Senior Editor and European Bureau Chief of Wine Spectator and one of the world’s most influential wine critics, and IMG Artists, one of the leading producers of cultural and lifestyle festivals, including the Tuscan Sun Festival, are collaborating on this signature event. Together, consulting with founding vintners from Principe Corsini, Marchesi Antinori, Frescobaldi, Mazzei, Ricasoli, Il Borro, Petrolo and Castello Banfi, Divino Tuscany will offer a distinctive program that highlights premium wines in one of the most dramatic vinicultural regions of the world.  The unique combination of wine, food, culture and history will be experienced throughout.

Over the course of four incredible days, attendees will experience grand tastings, seminars, special dinners and entertainment – everything about Divino Tuscany has been designed with the highest level of excellence in mind, from the selection of wines to the locations.

ITALIA, 18 ARTISTI ALLO STUDIO 64

Firenze – Domani, si inaugura Italia, alle 18.30, in via del Prato, 64, la sesta mostra del gruppo di artisti che ha scelto come luogo d’elezione un’ex autofficina, ribattezzata Studio 64.

Occasione permanente di confronto che, questa volta, prende spunto da un suggerimento di Fiona Corsini.
«L’Italia percorsa da pellegrini, studiosi, artisti, banditi e avventurieri da tempi immemorabili – sottolinea Fiona Corsini – è forse stanca di tutto questo calpestio?
«Ne discutono diciotto artisti attraverso i loro mezzi e le loro visioni. Uno scambio intellettuale critico, ironico, polemico, visionario, leggero, intenso… un viaggio insomma».
Domani sera, per l’inaugurazione, è in programma una performance di Fosca, alias Maria Caterina Frani.
La mostra, in collaborazione con Fashionis.com e Principe Corsini èvisitabile su prenotazione (tel. 339.1204793), resterà aperta fino al 31 maggio 2011.

PRINCIPE CORSINI PER DIVINO TUSCANY

Firenze - Provate a mettere insieme, dal 2 al 5 luglio, James Suckling, ex giornalista di Wine Spectator, un repertorio di musica e di cucina ai massimi livelli, la partecipazione straordinaria di alcune nobili famiglie toscane, Firenze e i suoi palazzi, una degustazione che abbracci le annate più vecchie e recenti dei cinquantuno migliori produttori di vini toscani è avrete approssimato per difetto il fascino di un appuntamento come Divino Tuscany.

L’aspetto divino dell’iniziativa sta, infatti, nel semplice, esclusivo, corto circuito tra storia, paesaggio e cultura.
Il fatto cioè che persone, famiglie, dimore e vigneti coincidano, si sovrappongano, rendendo palpabile il concetto di identità toscana.
«Ho sempre creduto nel rapporto strettissimo che lega il vino al luogo che lo genera – sottolinea Duccio Corsini – nell’importanza di conoscerlo e degustarlo là dove si produce.
«Su questa convinzione per tredici anni ho organizzato Alla Corte del Vino. Oggi sono felice di aver dato il mio contributo di produttore (e non più di organizzatore) alla riuscita di un evento dal respiro internazionale».
Evocare, allora, per l’occasione, il fasto delle corti rinascimentali non appare eccessivo, ma semmai ovvio.
Principe Corsini è insieme a Barone Ricasoli, Marchesi Antinori, Mazzei, Petrolo, Il Borro, tra i fondatori di Divino Tuscany.

Three well deserved Olives

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Le Corti Dop Chianti Classico Biologico 2010 has recognized with the maximum score in the dedicated to the extra virgin olive oils.
This oil has deserved three Olives thank to his balance and typical characteristics, obtained with the olives pick up between the 20th and the 30th of October that brings to it unique organoleptic and chemical-physical features.

Saturday in the Village

La Dispensa, the Principe Corsini shop in the Marsiliana Estate opens at the foot of the castle.
The shop entrance is where the oven once was.
The ancient oil mill houses the wine and oil tastings also produced in Maremma and Chianti Classico.
Out of La Dispensa a large square delimited from other houses takes into a scene of early XX century when the machine shop, the school, the small dance hall, the bazar, the dormitory and the barracks, were located.
A small microcosm that was empty or full on the strenght of land army regular interval periodicity.

The “Melodia del Vino Festival” at Villa Le Corti

The Melodia del Vino Festival is going to take place between the end of June and the early July with six appointments.
Two of the concerts on the playbill will take place at Villa Le Corti, the estate in the Chianti Classico of Principe Corsini.
On 30th of June, at 21, the Argentine pianist Nelson Goerner will perform with his recital.
July 1th will perform a duo of violinist and pianist, Marc Laforet and Serjei Krylov.

Others appointments:
On 28th June at the Teatro Verdi a concert by pianist and latest winner of the Warsaw Chopin Competition, Yulianna Avdeeva.
A cello and piano duet by musicial maestros Gautier Capuçon and Jérôme Ducros will be staged on 4th July 2011 at the XVIII century Villa Fanini, an historical rural residence in Capannori in the province of Lucca.
The Castello Banfi in Montalcino will provide the stage for internationally celebrated guitarist Emmanuel Rossfelder on 6th July 2011.
Giovanni Bellucci will be wowing audiences with a solo concert at the close of the Melodia del Vino Festival on 8th July 2011. This event will take place at the Rocca di Montemassi, in the estate’s atmospheric cellar, otherwise known as the ‘Barricaia’.

All concerts will start at 21 and end at 24.
